Joining Open Elements to strengthen open-source infrastructure

I’m proud that Grobmeier Solutions is part of the consortium led by Open Elements, together with Marc Philipp, supporting the Sovereign Tech Agency’s Sovereign Tech Resilience programme.

Open-source software needs sustained care. Improving tests, updating dependencies, making builds more reliable and working through technical debt gives maintainers more room to keep their projects healthy. These improvements benefit everyone who depends on their work.

Our consortium has been selected to help participating projects tackle that technical debt. The agency announced the expanded partnership in its September programme update.

I’m especially pleased to work alongside Hendrik Ebbers, Sandra Parsick, Sebastian Tiemann and Marc Philipp, as well as the wider Open Elements team. Their technical expertise, active community involvement and commitment to maintaining open-source software make this a collaboration I’m proud to contribute to.

For me, this builds on my work with Apache Log4j and the Sovereign Tech Fund. I care about giving essential software—and the people maintaining it—the time and support it deserves.

Thank you to everyone involved, and to the Sovereign Tech Agency for its trust. I look forward to the work ahead.
