A Java developer in Japan

I started coding in 1998 and witnessed the internet's evolution from its humble beginnings to today's complex world. Over the years I have grown from a curious tinkerer into a fulltime Developer and Trainer, where I combine my passions for learning, teaching, and solving puzzles.

I never forgot the first years of learning, which made me a person who values knowledge sharing and community building. Learning techniques and storytelling are my favorite tools for making complex topics accessible to everyone.

ABOUT ME

Christian Grobmeier

I started to write Java in 2001, and since 2009, I've proudly contributed to the Apache Software Foundation, working on renowned open-source projects like Log4j and Struts. Central to my work is making complex concepts accessible: I'm passionate about guiding others through the intricacies of technology, fostering knowledge-building and continuous learning at every opportunity, like in Java User Groups or at conferences. As a certified GDPR consultant, I ensure that data protection best practices remain front and center. Beyond coding and consulting, I write articles and author books to empower developers, cultivate understanding, and help teams thrive in an ever-evolving tech landscape.
